a) If yes, what is it, who defined it, and when?
b) If humanity is to exist for billions of years, will that goal be subject to revision?
c) Or is there no such goal yet — and must humanity define it itself?
d) Could “complete happiness” serve as the singular answer?"
While Homo sapiens may not be saintly, they're pretty decent. We have what we have. Most importantly, there's a great chance to nurture and create a new kind of human — Homo humanus, the Humane Human.
Ideals are a spiritual product of society’s self-critical attitude towards life. Putting them into practice is governed by the same society’s conscience.
Enlightenment, intended to emancipate people from the grip of ignorance and prejudice, will be ineffective and useless if scientific achievements are not utilized.
